About a year ago I discovered a wonderful yarn from Ironstone yarn Co. called Harmony. It is a bulky yarn with a gauge of about 3sts = 1″ for garments. It is 100% wool done in a twist that reminds me of the old Lopi yarn of years ago… Harmony is soft and wonderful to work with. It felts like a dream. The colors are limited but they are wonderful..Harmony is great for jackets, sweaters, extra warm boot-socks, baskets and bowls…I am getting a head start on easter baskets with these beautiful colors. This yarn felts so well, even the cream/white felts ..try some felted bowls they are fun…..

arthur and scarf

The scarf is 100% alpaca with a twist, dyed in plum/brown colors that changes colors in different light. The yarn is a hand dyed yarn from Cider Moon. …Very beautiful and alpaca is always great to knit with…Arthur thinks so too. I think He would rather have an alpaca bed than the merino one I made for him but we will see…
